Things to do in Pompano Beach
The biggest source of entertainment in Pompano are the beaches and the Atlantic Ocean. Pompano is particularly friendly to scuba divers and snorkelers, who travel from all over the world to dive among the several large reefs just off the coast. Divers have the option to swim right off the beach to some of the shallower reefs, or to charter a specially equipped scuba boat that will carry them directly to the deep water reefs.
Festivals taking place throughout the year, and a variety of attractions including gambling, hanging out at the beach, shopping, play golf and fishing (where the South Florida’s largest annual fishing tournament takes place). There’s something to suit every taste and temperment, from curious children to sports enthusiasts, from people seeking relaxation to people seeking adventure and thrills.
Sports are another big pasttime in Pompano Beach. With nineteen parks and recreational areas. The Tradewinds Park, which is home to Butterfly World, also offers horseback riding and batting cages, and the Quiet Waters Park features biking, hiking, camping, waterslides and swimming areas.
